Q. How does a registrar 'complete' OT&E testing?
A. Donuts will provide a Technical Certification Guide to registrars that have submitted a Platform Test Agreement. This is basically a checklist of tasks to show correct performance of the required functions.
Q. Do you know when DPML purchases will be available to registrars? Do they have to be purchased via the web interface?
A. DPML purchases can be performed via the web interface or via EPP, starting September 23, 2013. Registrars can monitor their DPML block customer's names using an 'info" command or check against the whois outputs for new domain registrations (an override shows up as a new domain name)
Q. Will registrars be able to enter a keyword and register across the entire Donuts portfolio in one go?
A. A DPML registration only requires one name (that must match what is in their SMD file). For registering a domain name, they will have to specify in their command "domain.tld." They can ask for 5 domains per EPP create command.
Q. For registrars that operate more than one registrar, are they creating more than one registrar account at OTE?
A. Every registrar that signs a contract with Donuts will get an OTE account (even if they are owned by the same parent company) and should perform the Technical Certification test.
Q. For the DPML override, the registrar of the block might want to notify their customer of the override. How would that registrar know about it?
A. Registrar can monitor their DPML block customer's names and check against the whois outputs for new domain registrations (an override shows up as a new domain name)
